This policy covers the Rivo Plumbing website, our online booking and estimate pages, the tracking link we text you, and what happens when a technician is in your home. It is written from what our systems actually do, not from a template.
Rivo Plumbing is a trading name of Rivo Home Services LLC, a New Jersey home services company. We also trade as Rivo Electric and Rivo Comfort. We serve 75 towns across 79 ZIP codes in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
This one policy covers all three brands and every place we deal with you — our websites, the estimate and booking pages, the tracking page you open from a text, the payment page, and the tablet a technician brings into your home.
Questions, or want to exercise a right below? Email hello@rivoplumbers.com or write to us at [postal address — to be supplied].
What we hold depends on how far you get with us. Browsing collects far less than booking.
| When you… | We collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Browse this site | A first-party visitor ID, the page you landed on, where you came from, any campaign tags in the link, and which buttons you used | To understand which advertising brings us real work |
| Use an online estimate tool | Your answers about the property and system, your ZIP, and — if you give them — name, mobile and email | To produce the estimate and follow it up. We keep the answers even if you stop before giving contact details |
| Book a visit | Name, mobile, email, service address, your chosen arrival window, and anything you type describing the problem | To schedule the visit and send a technician to the right door |
| Pay | Card brand, last four digits and expiry, plus a payment record. Card numbers never reach our systems — our payment processor holds them | To take payment and, where you agree, keep a card on file |
| Have us in your home | Inspection answers and readings, photographs, signatures, and audio of the visit. See the next section | To record the condition of the system, what we did, and what was agreed |
| Call or text us | Your number, call length and outcome, the content of messages either way, and whether you have opted out. Calls may be recorded | To handle the enquiry and keep a record of it |
| Share a referral link | The link code, how often it was opened, and the name and job of anyone who books through it | To run the referral programme and credit you for it |
Our technicians’ tablets record the conversation during a visit — the assessment, the discussion of options, the work itself, and a short note recorded afterwards. Recordings are transcribed and summarised, including by automated tools, and are used for quality, training and to keep a record of what was agreed.
New Jersey law permits a recording where one party to the conversation consents, and our technician is that party. We would rather you heard it from us than discovered it later. If you would prefer not to be recorded, tell the technician and they will stop.
Photographs. We photograph equipment, the space around it and the condition of what we find, before and after. Those photographs are attached to the job and to the property address, which means a photograph taken at an address may be visible to us when we next attend that address, including for a different occupant. Tell the technician if there is anything you would rather we did not photograph.

| rv_vid | Us | 1 year | Connects a visit to this site with a later booking, so we can tell which advertising works. It stays on our own domains. |
| rv_utm | Us | The browser session | Remembers the campaign tags you arrived with as you move between pages. |
| rv_ref | Us | 30 days | Remembers who referred you, so they get credited if you book. |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Up to 2 years | Measures site traffic and how pages are used. |
| _fbp / _fbc | Meta | About 90 days | Identifies your browser to Meta and records which ad you clicked, so we can measure advertising. |
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking ours will not stop you using the site; it will make our advertising measurement less accurate.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with companies that run parts of our service for us, and only for that purpose:
| Who | What they get | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Housecall Pro | Name, contact details, service address, job and estimate history | Our scheduling and customer system |
| Supabase | Our application database and file storage | Holding the data above |
| Vercel | Requests, IP addresses, server logs | Hosting our websites |
| Stripe | Name, email, card details you enter on their page | Taking payment |
| Quo | Mobile numbers and message content | Sending and receiving texts |
| Resend | Email addresses and email content | Sending quotes, receipts and confirmations |
| Deepgram | Audio recorded during a visit | Transcription |
| Anthropic | Transcripts and visit records | Summaries and written notes |
| Site usage; addresses and coordinates | Analytics, maps and arrival estimates | |
| MapTiler | Coordinates | The map on the tracking page |
| Meta | See Advertising below | Measuring and targeting ads |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To measure whether those ads produce real bookings, we send Meta a record of certain actions on our site. Your email, phone, name and ZIP are scrambled into an irreversible code before they are sent, so Meta can match you to an account it already has without us handing over the details themselves. Your IP address, browser details and Meta’s own cookies are sent as-is.
Under New Jersey law you have the right to tell us not to use your information for targeted advertising. To do that, email hello@rivoplumbers.com with the subject line “opt out of targeted advertising”. You can also block the cookies in the table above, or use a browser or extension that sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Short-lived technical records — training audio clips and our system event log — are deleted after 90 days.
Everything else, including job records, estimates, photographs, visit recordings and messages, is kept for as long as you are a customer and for a period afterwards, so we can honour the workmanship guarantee, answer questions about work we did, and meet tax and legal obligations. We would rather say that plainly than promise a shorter window we do not currently enforce. If you want your records deleted sooner, see your rights below.
If you live in New Jersey, you have the right to ask us to:
Email hello@rivoplumbers.com and tell us which right you are exercising. We will respond within 45 days, and may ask you to confirm your identity first so we do not hand your records to someone else. If we turn a request down we will tell you why, and you can ask us to reconsider.
Some of your information sits with the companies listed above. Where a deletion request covers records held by one of them, we will pass it on.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a marketing email. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about a booking you have made — your appointment confirmation, the on-the-way text and your invoice. To stop those too, tell us and we will arrange your visit by phone instead.
Our service is for homeowners and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you directly.
